When it comes to enhancing your brows, technique matters.
At HiBrow Ink, a Newton Abbot-based studio, we specialise in soft, natural results that feel effortless and refined, offering both traditional microblading and advanced machine brows. Our signature technique, HiBrow Realism, is a refined approach to machine hairstrokes, designed to create ultra-fine, hyper-realistic brows tailored to you.
Both are designed to mimic real hair — but differ in precision, longevity, and overall finish.
What Is Microblading? (Soft, Natural Results)
Microblading is a manual brow technique that uses a handheld blade to deposit pigment into the upper layers of the skin.
Each stroke is created individually, following the natural direction of your brow hair.
Why Clients Choose Microblading
Microblading is often chosen by those looking for a soft, natural brow with subtle definition.
It works best on normal to dry skin types and is ideal for clients wanting a gentle enhancement rather than a highly defined or detailed finish.
The Benefits of Microblading Treatment
Microblading creates fine, delicate hair strokes that blend seamlessly with your natural brow, giving a soft and understated appearance.
It’s ideal for filling small gaps or enhancing shape, with minimal downtime following the treatment.
Considerations:
Microblading may fade more quickly on oily skin, and over time, strokes can soften or blur.
It’s best suited to those seeking a natural, minimal look rather than maximum definition.

What Is HiBrow Realism?
HiBrow Realism is HiBrow Ink’s signature machine technique, designed to create ultra-fine, hyper-realistic hair strokes with precision and control.
Using a digital device allows for greater precision, improved pigment retention and a gentler approach to the skin.
Best suited for:
HiBrow Realism is ideal for those seeking refined definition with a natural, skin-like finish.
It works beautifully across all skin types — including oily and mature — and is particularly suited to brows lacking structure, density, or detail.
Benefits of HiBrow Realism:
HiBrow Realism offers longer-lasting results than traditional microblading, with strokes that remain sharper and more defined over time.
The technique allows for greater precision and control, creating a more natural, skin-like finish while being gentler on the skin.
The result is a more refined, longer-lasting finish with exceptional, natural-looking detail.

How long do microblading and machine brows last?
Microblading typically lasts around 12–18 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. Oily or more active skin types may find that microblading fades more quickly over time.
Machine brows (including my HiBrow Realism technique) tend to last longer — usually around 18–24 months — as the pigment is implanted more consistantly and evenly within the skin.
That said, longevity isn’t just about the technique. Your individual skin, sun exposure, skincare routine and how your body holds pigment all play a role in how your results heal and fade.
A colour boost appointment is always recommended to perfect the results and maintain a soft, natural finish overtime.
